Team Up Activities September 20, 2007

Stephanie

I'm thankful for my little baby girl, Virginia, who patiently suffered through my incredibly busy day today. Despite missing a feeding - I will have to work hard to “catch up” on the milk tomorrow – she was always quick with a smile.

I am a Master Coordinator earning over $200,000 a year.

3. What I’ve done? On Wednesday I had my first “practice” Opportunity presentation with a friend who is in the R&D business. She asked a lot of great questions that most people wouldn’t ask, but I felt good & I was happy with how I handled it – unusually relaxed. She was impressed with Shaklee’s quality control & some great seeds were planted for her to be a customer, but she is going to take some more work.

I was very busy today (Thursday) at our homeschool co-op. This is a great networking group and many of these ladies would be natural leaders – they just haven’t been discovered yet. I have an opportunity event scheduled for October 13 and I have already begun inviting the ladies and getting some responses. Tonight was my group conference call and we taught them how to strategize their monthly pv & activity to meet their goals. It was great! They are motivated and already seeing the fruit of their activity.

4. What I’ll be doing today? The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments. I find myself getting caught up in training mode and not very focused on my personal activity so my focus today is on my events in NJ. Also, I need to call through my members list and begin the process of finding more “converts” to the Gold Ambassador program. I have an appointment in the evening to do a “practice” Opportunity presentation. This is an old friend who will analyze it to death, but I am looking forward to it anyway. It is a great thing to do with those “hard sell” friends. I get the practice I need and they hear information that I probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to tell them without the “can I practice on you” clause.

Mike and Becky

. We are thankful to celebrate the life of Mike O'Brien today! Happy Birthday!
2. We continue to attract people of character and influence who desire to make a difference in MANY others' lives all over the world, using the business as a vehicle.
3. Yesterday was great! Becky made several follow-up calls and is excited about a cashier she met at a clothing store on Tues. She is a licensed dietician and has heard great things about the company. Mike followed up on our clubhouse leads with promising results! Becky also spoke with some of you and other Sales Leaders who are out there making it happen! And then, last night, we attended a dinner with supporters of our son, Paul's trip to Africa. One of the team members and also one of his BAE co-workers walked up to me and said they wanted some products! One is pregnant and the other has allergies. Paul had shared what we do with them. So, I have two more customer appointments to schedule.
4. Today, we are leaving for our trip to Cape May. But, already, Mike went to an early morning networking meeting and sponsored a new member! We have five now, so just need to find our Gold Ambassador! I am a firm believer in staying in the game to the very end - many are won in the last few seconds of the game! Keep Going!
5. A big thing we have learned in Team Up is the value of a team to motivate us to work even harder. We would not ask you to do anything we are not already doing ourselves. We pushed ourselves to do the office talks, go to networking meetings, do the booth, call people, put together a huge Fall newsletter mailing, working hard and longer hours when we didn't feel like it sometimes, but it does produce results. We have talked to hundreds of people to get the few who make a difference. Those few are worth gold. Their lives will forever be changed because we persevered to talk to one more person, one more person, one more person. We know you are doing the same and it feels good.

REMEMBER TO CALL YOUR BUDDY BEFORE OUR CALL ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Traci

I am thankful for my senses. I may not always enjoy what I hear, see, taste, smell or touch; but at least they are functioning an I thankful!

I succeed because I believe in what I'm doing and care about those I have opportunity to share what I believe. People see this and want more.

I continue to prepare for Saturday's Minerelles (a little each day keeps me focused and excited), mail out more profiles, try to make voice to voice contact with follow ups, and continue building!

I talked with voice to voice with one warm market yesterday. I am sharing the business with even telemarketers and the people I talk with to pay bills, etc! Who knows what may come of it!

Karen
Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for beautiful fall weather!

I am able to be a good listener for peoples needs so I may help them best!

Yesterday was another exciting day! I confirmed my B.O.appt. with Abduhl for tonight at 6:00. Spoke to another one of my sisters about the business. Invited Abduhl to Oct. 6 meeting, he seems very interested. Printed lots of literature for handouts.

Today I will be strong and focused to come across clear for my 1st (hopeful) Gold Ambassador! Pray for us and wish me luck! TEAM VISION POWER!!!!

Debby

1. I am thankful for a Father who hears me.

2. I bring good things to those I meet

3. I had a very positive experience at the health fair yesterday. I engaged 25+ people and talked to them about Shaklee and all took literature and I received 9 leads (Those who said I could contact them). The weather was perfect, I had a perfect spot; all in all a very good day!

Traci

4. Tonight I will try and contact two people.

1. I am thankful for my friends.

2. I am a great prospector for my business.

3. I listened to the team up again and I am going to have my husband listen too.
Calling Crystal to get some products for my booth on Sat at the flee market. I hope it doesn't rain.

Team Up Activities September 19, 2007

Hello Team Vision,
We enjoyed a great call with you this evening! You continually inspire and amaze us with your creativity, perseverance in the face of stress, and encouragement for one another! What a great team!
Thank you, Debby, for the wonderfully inspiring elephant team story! I will never forget that vivid image that speaks volumes. And if elephants can be that caring and energized to help each other, think of what we can do!
Congratulations to Karen for sponsoring four new members in two weeks - that's great!
Notes to Remember:
1. Continue with your daily blog entries. You are doing great! Every business owner should evaluate their business day and plan for the next one, in order to stay focused and productive.
2. Include in tomorrow's blog entry, one new thing you have discovered about yourself during this Team Up activity.
3. Call your Buddy. We are keeping the same Buddies this week. Get to know each other and share ideas, encouragement, and praise!
4. Remember to sponsor members and keep looking for your Gold Ambassador. They're out there; we just need to keep looking. Five of us, myself included, still need to find ours.
5. The next Team Up call with corporate is Monday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 PM in all time zones. Last night's Team Up call is now archived at 1-512-703-6147. Definitely worth listening to more than once. We all agreed that we got a LOT out of this call! Become an expert at Inviting and Handling Objections.
6. Our next Team Vision call will be on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Please note that the time is changed for this date only. It will be at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. 1-605-990-0001, then 438695#.7. Traci - thank you for preparing to share an inspiring team story with Team Vision on our next call.
8. Please know that you can feel free to get in touch with us. (703) 367-7109

Okay, as Karen says, TEAM VISION POWER!! Let's make it happen. Becky & Mike

Traci

I am thankful for perspectives. I can choose to see things in a certain way: positive or negative.
I am passionate about this business and people hear this and want to join me!

I will continue to make contacts and work on Minerelles presentation.

I have learned that I need to work on asking the right questions by listening to what people are really saying. I have learned that I absolutely LOVE doing what I'm doing and I need to let the other business opportunities go and focus on this one thing!

Debby

1. I am thankful for the opportunity to meet new people

2. I will meet people who have been looking for a company like ours

3. One thing I have learned about myself (actually I already knew this) is that I dread accountability groups. It’s the fear of failure and being judged that I need to get past.

4. I will be participating in a health fair in DC and will hopefully be able to contact the person who e-mailed me last night about becoming a member.

Stephanie

I'm thankful for my husband, who was stuck in the NY subway for 2 hours, let me vent my frustrations (not with him, but with life), because he would not be home until after midnight (again) and then let me know that we may have a new partner in our business – an old business friend who is looking for an MLM.

I am a mentor of great business leaders who are changing the world around them. I attract motivated & effective business leaders that are ready to grow and make things happen!

3. What I’ve done? Yesterday was not one of my best days, but I am happy to say that Keith did way better than I did. He had lunch with an old business friend who is a very gifted and determined business woman. She is unhappy with her income and Keith mentioned what he and I are doing with our business and she was very interested. We hope she will be at the Excite event.

4. What I’ll be doing today? Redo of the plan for yesterday. The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments. My goal is to reach people today about Bob’s event next Monday & to call co-op people about my events in NJ. I am calling 20 people and I expect to reach 5 – 8 who will say yes to an event. I am also sending out a reminder flyer to those who didn’t come to Bob’s last meeting & a flyer to my co-op friends about the upcoming event in October.

Jennifer
Two people are pending to sign up as members. I will call them again and make sure they understood my directions on how.

1. I'm grateful for the sun.

2. I am a great business manager.

3. Call 3 people

Karen

Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for TEAM support.

I am very excited to have signed up my first Gold Ambassador this week! " affirmation :-}"

Yesterday was super exciting for me to finally get the B.O. appt. with Abduhl. I feel great about this one!

Will continue with follow ups from referrals to book 1on1 appts. Getting everything in order for tomorrow's appt. and home show on Sunday!

I discovered that being on a team helps me to "recharge" with weekly contact! TEAM VISION POWER!!!

Here is a copy of the poem I received from my (Karen)son's school about parents and teachers working together. I substituted teacher and parent with Leader and Business Builder! I automatically felt the connection with TEAM WORK!

TWO SCULPTORS

I dreamed I saw a studio

And watched two sculptors there.

The clay they used was a human mind

And they fashioned it with care.

One was a Leader - the tools used

Were books, music, and art.

The other, a Business Builder, worked with a guiding hand,

And a gentle loving heart.

Day after day, the Leader toiled with a touch

That was careful, deft, and sure,

While the Business Builder labored by his side

And polished and smoothed it o'er.

And when at last, their task was done,

They were proud of what they had wrought.

For the things they had molded into the human

Could neither be sold nor bought.

And each agreed they would have failed

If either had worked alone.

For behind the Business Builder stood the school

And behind the Leader, the home.

Team Up Activities September 18, 2007

Mike and Becky

We are thankful for a company that allows us the freedom to grow our own business, yet supports us 100%. We are reminded that we are in business for ourselves but not by ourselves.

We relate to others in a natural way that allows them to feel at ease and be transparent about their needs.

Yesterday was busy, talking to a Title Company (10 people came) in the morning and doing a trade show in the evening. We spent about 20 minutes talking to the family owner of Kenwood Country Club! Lots of people to follow up with today.

See you tonight on the team up call 7:30 PM. 1-605-990-0001, then 438695#

Stephanie

Here is the update on the weekend:

We had our first morning training session and it went well. We went over the opp. Presentation and the member appointment. Bob had an appointment that day so it was great to have a specific person to prepare for. In the end Bob used some of my recommendations, but put in his own ideas. To me, that is the best. I love it when they take ownership of what they present to their group. His new member bought the Vitalizer & Nutriferon, so he earned a point for getting a member with 50+pv order.

I made 20 phone calls, mostly to my co-op group, and I received several yes’s to getting an invite to our events and a few not sures, but I could send the invite anyway. I also left a ton of voice messages, but I kept those more general.

I'm thankful for Mike & Becky who have supported me & provided the catalyst I have needed to build my business.

2. I confidently talk about the business, my company and what Keith and I can offer. Those that I talk to are attracted to what I have and want to learn more.

3. What I’ve done? I made many phone calls and received several encouraging responses. I felt good on the phone and I was happy with my approach.

4. What I’ll be doing today? The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments.

Nothing fabulous to report: Mailed out info; actually got one person on the phone; did more research; preparing for Saturday's Minerelles; and took care of a fussy teething baby.

I am thankful that in all the chaos that sometimes happen that there is an "eye in the storm"

Center of the Storm

There’s a very special calmness in the center of God’s will.
Though all hell is raging ‘round you in the center it is still.
All outside may be collapsing; every turn is hurling harm.
But there’s peace passed understanding in the eye of every storm.

To arrive within in the center is no accidental fate.
Nor a placement by another-it’s a choice that you must make.
Relinquish misconceptions that in your strength you can win;
For your limited resources cannot calm the storm within.

You must trust the Lord to guide you; learn to follow His commands.
Let go of vague resources. Hold to His unfailing hand.
Search His Word to find direction; take its truth to be your own-
Then you’ll find a peace unmeasured in the center of the storm.

We are thankful today for the promises of God, which come into our lives as we declare and agree with them.

We are ambasssadors of good news and affect the atmosphere where ever we are.

Today we did a presentation to about 10 employees at a Title company and got some great leads. This evening we will be manning a display table at Kenwood Country Club in Bethesada, Md.

Out on a Limb

Hello Business Family,

OUT ON A LIMB

As a 10 year old, scooting out on the limb of the massive oak tree in our neighborhood was terrifying. However, in order to secure the rope in the proper place we had to tie it far enough away from the trunk. As I looked down and saw my friends urging me on, I knew I must continue because the promise of swinging freely through the air outweighed the risk of falling. That old rope served us well through those idyllic childhood days.

The rules today are much same except the stakes are higher. We must take some risks in order to enjoy the rewards and fulfill our destiny. Risk must be taken everyday, as Douglas MacArthur said “empty your days of the search for security; fill them instead with a passion for service.” As you reach out to others today in your business, perhaps the words of this anonymous poem will speak to you:

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out for another is to risk involvement.

To expose feeling is to risk exposing your true self.

To place your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd is to risk their loss.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.

To live is to risk dying

To hope is to risk despair.

To try is to risk failure.

Be it our business or our personal relationships, risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. Jesus, the ultimate “risk taker” said this: “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life loses it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.” I would say He was rewarded well for His “risk.”

See you out on the limb,

Mike

Sorry we were out of the loop yesterday. We had 20-30 in for a 3 day Bible seminar here at the house. In the midst of that we did sign up one new member who was attending the class and have another good prospect.

We are thankful to have just received a good paycheck so that we were able to give a large sum of money to our ministerial friends.

We love our business and many, many more will be joining our ranks in the months to come as more and more people seek alternatives to the traditional 9-5 jobs.

We will be preparing for our trade show with the country clubs on Monday evening and presentation to a mortgage company on Monday morning.

Debby
1. I am thankful for seeds planted long ago that begin to bloom

2. I keep walking surely and steadfastly

3. The last two days I mailed fliers and prepared for the upcoming health fair. I sent two invitations to the training event on October 6th. I also prepared an extensive e-mail for a customer who wants her church to use our cleaners.

4. Today I will send two e-mails to new prospects who I’ve been in touch with already, but have not gotten a commitment to an appointment. I will continue to prepare for the health fair.

Traci 9-15-07 entry

I am so thankful that the lunatic buck that tried to crash into our livingroom did not harm any of us. And, the glass that shattered in, though it lay everywhere did not injure any of us or even land on us (God's protection). The buck even came back 3 hours later! More later!
I feel blessed and privileged, because I am helping someone take charge of their well-being!
I will continue to work on sponsoring by calling, mailing, emails, follow-ups.

Jennifer 9-15-07 posting

1. I'm grateful I can be home with my kids.

2. I am great at follow through.

3. I need to collect things I need for my booth next Sat.

4. I talked to Crystal about the Higgins flee market and if she wanted to help me with that. She just got the pack of Get Clean and I have some so that way I don't have to order a new one. I talked to my sister Chole in Mexico and she wants to sign up as a member to order her Cinch stuff. I told her I'm coming down in the next few months to do a home show. She said that is great because she can't find anyone in El Paso that sells the products

I am thankful that I'm not just building a business; I am also building friendships!

I am borrowing one of King David's affirmations: "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!" Ps 27:13 In other words: I am victorious, because I believe!

I will continue to mail out more profiles to warm market, as well as get four appointments by the end of day!

Karen

Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for my health.

I will continue to be my best and help others improve their lives.

Yesterday I spoke to Soloman to follow up about the gold program and to get feedback on the 4 DVD's I left with their family. He said he and his sister are interested in the inch loss program. I showed him the action brochure again and reminded him about the package containing those items in the gold package! He wasn't sure of the family schedule for appt. I will call.Listened to archived call on nutrition. Talked to neighbor Carol about me having a home show next month for the neighbors to come to, date to follow. Probably 10-20-07 since my show that day rescheduled for 10-27-07! Followed up with 3 other people about their new product use. Printed literature for next weeks home show until printer ran out of ink. Will keep plugging along. TEAM VISION POWER!!!

Stephanie

I'm thankful for homeschooling, which enables me to get to know & be more a part of the lives of my children. I am so thankful to see their character & the amazing talents that are slowly blooming before my eyes.

2. I plan & I DO the plan. I am consistent to make calls. I am consistent in my follow-up. I attract those who are READY to be well.

3. What I’ve done? A conference call that no one showed up for and networking at our homeschooling co-op that went well, but it’s so busy while we’re there, I now need to get on the phone to invite them to my events. I did set up two “practice” appointments. One with my friend, Lynn, who I’ve known for several years – an amazing woman with several degrees & at 40+ is more physically fit than most 20 year olds. The other, with our friend, Brent, who was our best man, and is a sure bet to ask all the questions I hate to hear and analyze the opportunity to death. I chose both these people to help me develop an amazing presentation that is concise & professional. They both know it’s for practice and though I don’t expect them to sign-up, I do expect them to be impressed with the company, be interested in the products and be willing to refer someone who is looking for income.

4. What I’ll be doing today? The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments. My goal is to reach 5 people today about Bob’s event next Monday & to do a marathon calling blitz tomorrow talking to co-op people and local people.

Mike and Becky

Congratulations to everyone for being faithful to do their entries. Reminder to go to www.bobsfiles.net, then to the Affirmations link for ideas on writing affirmations.

1. I am thankful for vision - the ability to never lose sight of the bigger picture.
2. Mike and I are jumping up and down with joy that we have signed on our first Gold Ambassador. (This is an affirmation, as it has not happened yet, but it will!)
3. Today, Becky is following up with Cecilia, Mildred, and Agustina, the new people she met yesterday at the office presentation. She is also working on the Fall newsletter mailing to 500 people. We are also spending time with a minister we are hosting in our home for three days.
4. Yesterday, in addition to the office presentation, Becky scheduled a wellness consult, re-scheduled another office presentation for 15 new people, sponsored a new member with over 50 PV (a point for Team Vision!) - met her at a party two weeks ago, hosted over 20 people here for Bible class last night. (Time management affirmations work! Fit Shaklee in every day - very important; that one phone call you make could be the one that makes all the difference; it did when the person who got you into Shaklee called you!)
5. We just got a call from a day care center who want to order Basic G. They found us on the Shaklee web site. Word is getting out!

Debby

1. I am thankful for new ideas!

2. My customers like hearing from me as they know I care about them.

3. I made three phone calls and actually talked to each one! I did not get commitments from them other than I can call back at a later time, but they did not say “no”!

4. Today I am making contacts regarding cleaning products, sending requested information to current customers and contacting two customers about the business event next month. I will also continue to prepare for the health fare I am attending next week.

Jennifer
. I am greatful for my loving parents.

2. I am a great organizer.

3. I am going to work on setting up a both at a local flee market.

4. Talk to my friend in Mexico about coming in the next couple of months to do a home show. She said her and her mother could put one together for me.
