My Shaklee office was closed due to the holiday and technical difficulties. I have calls to make that won't get done now till maybe while in route to the OBX.
I saw that you forwarded the "New Member pack sheets. Thank you Becky.
I read from "the dream giver" today.
In regards to the call:I might be in the OBX still. I'm trying for 2 presentations while there. So.....depending on when it is will determine whether I join the conference.
I want to do another presentation before the end of the month, possibly Thursday after I get back
My computer was down for most of the day so I did nothing on line..

Yesterday was a busy day. One of our directors (Debbie)sponored a Gold Ambassador! We sponsored a Gold Ambassador as well and sponsored a new member. Mike worked on our My Space profile and setting us up as vendors with the State.
Today we will rest and be Thankful.

What we did on Monday: Yesterday was a good day. Becky made several follow-up calls, sponsored a new member, and scheduled a business opportunity appointment. She also sent an email to all of her customers to let them know about the Get Clean special kit and membership. She also talked with a couple of Sales Leaders for training. Mike also sponsored a new member.
What we are doing today: Today, Becky has two strategy sessions with Distributors. She will also be finalizing the Christmas specials letter we are mailing to all of our customers at the beginning of December. Mike is installing a new module in an Air Source and updating Chamber Web Site.
We will be watching Oprah at 4:00!! Then, following up with people we told about it.

Yesterday, Becky helped Nadine with a VERY successful booth at her community's Christmas Bazaar. She has a new member and eight people to schedule appointments with!
Today, we are going to church. This evening, Mike and I will strategize our week's business activities together and meet our daily goals. We will also begin working on our Christmas newsletter to mail to customers. This business is all about helping other people and it's FUN!!

Hello tonight
Today we sold another GC and membership.
Sending out an e-mail to one of my friends in the OBX tonite regarding Thanksgiving. Staying in touch while he considers buying Vitalizer and more.
I will go prepared to share our business 'love' when I get my car worked on tomorrow.
I will call orders in to home office and send TY notes.
I received a call from a friend who purchased the Basic H2 after she finished cleaning her wood walls that always looked dull. "this stuff is phenomenal! In the past when I cleaned those walls they returned to their dull hue shortly after drying, today they shine! I will be back to buy more!"

Gratitude is an Attitude
“The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings” Eric Hoffer
Each year we set aside a special day to give thanks and be with family and friends and well it should be so. What do we do the other 364 days? If you still do a little grumbling and complaining (who me?), let me submit that we work on cultivating a “gratitude attitude.” This is not done easily because we all have problems, pain, and loss in our lives and it is often easier to dwell on these and perhaps garner a little sympathy along the way (good luck).
In his letter to the Philippians, Paul suggests that instead of worry we should pray with thanksgiving. He then follows up with a list of 7 things that we are to meditate upon: whatever is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, and praise worthy. Now this is hardly the material that Hollywood or the evening news would have us to ponder, but it is powerful stuff! Let’s try a few situations on for size. Instead of complaining about the traffic jam, consider being appreciative for the extra time you had to make a few business related calls. Rather than lamenting about the person you drove 45 minutes to see, to do an hour presentation and they only purchased one ”spray bottle,” be thinking that the referral they gave you may be your next master coordinator. As an alternative to talking about the high price of gas, let’s talk about ways we can conserve energy… like buying a Get Clean Kit!
John Henry Jowett said “Gratitude is a vaccine, an antitoxin, and an antiseptic.” In fact it is proven that thankful people are healthier and wealthier. University of California Davis psychology professor Robert Emmons' research indicates that "Grateful people take better care of themselves and engage in more protective health behaviors like regular exercise, a healthy diet, (and) regular physical examinations." His research finds that grateful people tend to be more optimistic, a characteristic that boosts the immune system. In an experimental comparison conducted by Emmons and McCullough, those who kept gratitude journals on a weekly basis exercised more regularly, reported fewer physical symptoms, felt better about their lives as a whole, and were more optimistic about the upcoming week compared to those who recorded hassles or neutral life events. One reason for the increased wealth is borne out by the research that indicates that customers who are called and thanked showed a subsequent 70% increase in purchases!
So let’s work on our “gratitude attitude” this Thanksgiving week and all year round. Don’t keep your new attitude to yourself, tell someone else how much you appreciate them. As William Ward said “feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a gift and not giving it.”
The best giving is thanksgiving, (Chesterton)

What I did today: Strategy session with Nadine in the morning. Talked with two other Distributors on team to answer questions. Mailed literature to two new members I got this past week. Emailed answers to customers' questions. First Team Vision call!
Tommorrow I will: Be with Nadine at Christmas Bazaar to help her with her booth most of the day. Follow-up with customer who is interested in air purifiers. Begin planning for Christmas specials I'm having. Mike is following up with a prospective new member and placing her order. He is also checking on an air source placement and drafting a letter to a group of people who we attended a bible conference with last month.

TOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE
When Coach Jack Stanton came to Bishop Ireton High School in 1967, he inherited a football program that had not won a game the previous year; in fact we had lost the last game of the season 69-0! We were a group of individuals, with some talent but no cohesiveness. Coach Stanton worked us very hard physically to be sure, but what he instilled within us was the intangible key. He molded us into a group of young men who had pride and believed in each other and that we could win if each player did his part. By seasons end we had won four games and tied a very good T.C. Williams team (a couple years before the “Remembering the Titans” team).
What is this intangible magic that enables a group of people to come together and accomplish much more than they could ever imagine? It is a concept called “synergy” which can be defined as the interaction of elements that, when combined, produce an effect that is greater than the sum of the individual parts. Let’s take a little quiz: If 2 horses can pull 9,000 pounds, how many pounds can 4 horses pull? If you did some quick math and said 18,000 pounds, you would be right mathematically but wrong in reality. Believe it or not, 4 horses can pull more than 30,000 pounds! Synergy is a joint action that increases the effectiveness of each member of the team. To function optimally, a team must be committed to a common vision and purpose, and it must be willing to work in unity for the good of the whole rather than the advancement of any one member.
Geese know the value of team work. When they fly in a V formation the updraft from the wings of the geese increases the efficiency of the flock by up to 71%. However, the lead goose does not experience much or any of this benefit and tires more easily. When the lead goose gets tired they fall back and others move up to take their turn at the front. Leaders need rest and encouragement in order to lead the team effectively (I’m told that the melodious honking sound we hear are actually encouraging sounds from the flock urging the leader onward).
Let me urge you to participate in Shaklee team in your area. Being together on phone conferences, internet presentations, and meetings will keep you energized and focused. You will experience that synergy and feel the “lift” of everyone pulling together in the same direction. By helping others on the team attain their goals we will be helped towards ours.
Let me also encourage you to take on a leadership capacity of some sort, I guarantee that the experience will make you stronger and enhance your business. Remember, if you hear some “honking” it is only us geese behind you urging you on.
