The Best Things in Life are Free
Last weekend we spent a few idyllic days visiting my Mother in the South Jersey town of Cape May. We met up with our long time friends Jeff and Denise and did relaxing things like drinking tea on the back porch, watching the sunset on the beach overlooking the Delaware Bay while the music played God Bless America and the flag was slowly lowered, riding bikes, playing horseshoes, and walking on the promenade by the ocean. While sitting on the beach on Friday, we were treated to a spectacular dolphin show. For over an hour, there must have been 100 dolphins swimming past us. They were frolicking, jumping, and spinning not more than 50 yards away. Dolphin watch boats lingered in deeper water, with the paying guests straining to catch a glimpse of what we could see for free from our beach chairs. What did these activities have in common? They were all free for us!
So many times people pay exorbitant prices to experience some entertainment that falls far short of their expectations. Many people are constantly seeking excitement and fulfillment, yet do not find it. They endure the week to get to the weekend, collapse on Saturday, and then begin worrying about going back to a job they don’t like. Although our companies products are not free, people who use them can experience freedom from sickness, pain, fatigue, worry about the next flu epidemic, and even financial pressures. Rather then spend vast sums of money on medications, a small daily investment of a few dollars can help insure that they will live to enjoy the best things in life like grandchildren (we are waiting), vacations (we are taking them) and family time (we have it).
It does not cost you anything to give the gift of our products and life style, and it may mean everything to the one receiving it. We in this business know that the best things in life are free, and to be free is one if the best things in life.
Freely we have received, freely give,
Mike

2. I make time for my customers
3. I made 9 phone calls yesterday and connected with 4 people. I sent out about as many e-mails. I spoke with a potential customer last night and she said she was going to look at my web site for vitamins. I have not seen an order come through yet, but will follow up on that.
4. I have a makeover with a new person today that will hopefully generate a new member!
Mike and Becky

Believe
a friend sent this to us today,
A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, the son falls, hurts himself and screams:
"AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating,
somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"
Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"
Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
The voice answers: "You are a champion!"
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO,
but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. Life will give you back everything you have given to it." (Anonymous)
Your life is not a coincidence. It's a reflection of you! Proverbs declares, "As a man thinks, so is he, and as a man chooses, so is he." If you would like to know who is responsible for most of your troubles, take a look in the mirror. If you could kick the person responsible for most of your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit down for three weeks. It's time for us to stay out of our own way.
Stop looking only at where you are and start looking at what you can be. Be careful of where your mind wanders; your words and actions follow it.
No one can defeat you unless you first defeat yourself. Self-image sets the boundaries and limits of each of our individual accomplishments. If you doubt yourself, listen to Alexander Dumas: "A person who doubts himself is like a man who enlists in the ranks of his enemy and bears arms against himself."
You carry with you the world in which you must live. Know this: when you have a great dream, your mind will be your biggest enemy. Remember you are your own doctor when it comes to curing cold feet, a hot head and a stuffy attitude.
You may succeed if nobody else believes in you, but you will never succeed if you don't believe in yourself. Whatever you attach consistently to the words "I am," you will become.

am thankful for my family and the time I am blessed to invest in their future.
I have a full calendar because I am making calls and asking the right questions!
Today I will continue contacting the names on my warm market list and trying to reach the people I was unable to speak with from the Minerelles on Saturday (Heather, Ashley, and Diana). I will try to reach my midwife (Emily) again about pre-natal packs for her clients (I've been working on a pamphlet to describe the benefits of Vitalizer, Osteomatrix, Alfalfa...for expecting and nursing mommies).
Yesterday I left a message with Felissa about our business opp meeting. I was unable to reach her Dad. I shared supplements with my Mom. Also, I began working on getting a Cinch Group together and was able to speak with one person (Rosa) who is starting with me on Oct 1.
Just a note: When I email something to a potential client I always try to remember to request a "Return Receipt" (found somewhere on the email being created). This helps me gauge if people are actually reading the emails or not
Debby
1. I am thankful for the opportunities I have been given.
2. My business is growing and thriving
3. Wed. I made three phone calls and helped a new customer set up her online account. I then had a makeover with a current customer which did not generate any immediate sales, but I know they are forth coming. I enjoyed this makeover; if nothing else it is continuing an on-going relationship with this person. She is a nurse and has started working at health fairs. One of the thing that she does is use a machine to show people how much skin damage they may have. I asked her if she would feel comfortable giving out my information regarding the skin care products and she said she would be delighted to.
4. Today I’ve already sent 4 e-mails to people that I’ve already been in contact with. Two are potential customers that I already had appointments with. I’ve told them that I have a goal to meet by the end of the month and IF they were going to put in an order would they mind doing so before Sunday. One responded that he would think about it and I haven’t heard from the other. I have, however, already this morning made an appointment for tomorrow with a contact from the health fair. I have at least three phone calls I will make this morning and more later on.
Jennifer
I have two new members, Linda Brost and Betel Lopez, which is Chole's daughter.
1. I'm thankful for healthy kids.
2. I am great at following up with customers.
3. I have people to call to plan my in home Get Clean.
Karen
Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for the Lord guiding me!
I have what everyone needs/wants for a healthier life.
Yesterday I was disappointed that my appt. called to reschedule for next week, they were not able to get home from work in time.
Today I am busy filling my open time for this weekend. Will continue to follow up and get referrals to grow daily. TEAM VISION POWER!!!!!
Stephanie
I'm thankful for persistence and faith that God provides daily.
God makes all grace abound to me so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, I abound in every good work.(see 2 Cor. 9:8)
3. What I’ve done? I ordered 100 Get Clean DVDs and I have passed out 16 of them and Keith is going to take 10 to work. MTV is being infiltrated – yeah!
What I’ll be doing today? Hand out 20 more DVDs, get members for our team points & prepare to go to the Excite meeting tomorrow.
Mike and Becky

Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for people willing to listen to what I have to offer.
I signed my 1st Gold Ambassador today! (affirmation)
Yesterday I called 5 people, made a connection with 1. Will follow up. Confirmed appt. with Soloman for Thursday evening. Gave a couple of invitations out for Oct. 6th. Abduhl said he is coming on the 6th. I reminded him to bring as many people as he can.
Today I will meet with Soloman and family fOR 2nd meeting. Hope and pray for positive results. Will continue to fill my available time with appts. and home shows. TEAM VISION POWER!!!!

1. I'm thankful for the beautiful place we live in.
2. I'm very creative in presenting my business.
3. Call more people and listen to the team up again.

I am thankful for flexibility.
Because I work the business I am strong and getting stronger.
I will follow up today with Felissa and her Dad. Continue touching base with as many people as I can.
I spoke with few of the people today that came to the Minerelles last Saturday. They are simply waiting for the next pay check.
I have a confession to make. When I researched doing the inspirational story for our Tuesday Team call I had forgotten it needed to be related to team work. I had an interesting story about a single gentlemen. When Becky asked me to share the inspirational team story my heart leapt into my throat! But, because I had such wonderful parents who taught us through music, stories and folk tales, provided us with rich reading material, and (of course) the Bible...the folk story of the seven brothers came instantly to mind. Thanks, Mom and Dad!!!
Mike and Becky
We are thankful for the people God puts in our path everyday - to help us and for us to help.
We are cognizant of harvest time being upon us and are ready to wade out into the crops.
Mike placed an Air Source tester in Mt Vernon country club today.
Becky emailed customers who are close to getting a bonus.

I have success, because I am working to help others be successful.
I am calling my Minerelles folks for orders and one-on-ones. And I will be listening to the archived call I forgot to listen to yesterday because I was so physched about my spontaneous meeting.

Inspirational Message
The Dream Giver Strikes Again
Yesterday, Becky and I boarded the Ferry from Cape May, N.J. to Lewes, Delaware. It was a beautiful afternoon, the first day of autumn and we headed west into the setting sun. We had our books and headed topside for the 75 minute voyage across the Delaware Bay. Wanting mostly to just sit and enjoy the cool breezes and scenic views, we were a bit surprised to hear the person sitting across from us (Monica) ask about one of the books we had sitting on our laps, “Can’t You Talk Louder God” (a great little primer on hearing the voice of God by Steve Schultz). So began an hour long conversation with Monica (and her Aunt Dolly) on topics such as caring for aging parents, oil prices, family dynamics, our business (Shaklee), our home church, and what seems to be our topic du jour, DESTINY.
As we wound our way through the various subjects, we asked Monica about her involvement in her church and what her passion and future dreams were. She began to tell us of her long standing dream to go to Uganda and do mission work with the children. She was caring for an elderly mother (Dolly’s sister) and her vision for her destiny and purpose had become somewhat blurred. Since Becky had just finished a book by Bruce Wilkerson called “Dream Giver,” (another one that you may want to get), it was a natural progression to begin encouraging her about not giving up on her dream. Becky told her that our son Paul had just got back from Uganda and about our other friends who were visiting there. Among other things, Becky told her that there was much opportunity to minister in Uganda (and Africa in general) and that this meeting was not coincidental. Monica began to tear up and her face brightened as her dream was awakened within her.
By the time the ship was beginning to dock, Monica was refreshed and re-focused on her destiny. Monica’s last words to us were “I am so encouraged” We exchanged information, hugged our new friends and headed for our cars.

I am thankful for life. I am thankful that my Heavenly Father loves unconditionally.
I am at peace because I know all things work together for good to those who love God. I am pleased that I am making a difference because of God's work in me.
Marching on today. One last go through the Minerelles presentation, bags are packed. Mailing out even more profiles and calling my midwife about the open house on the new birthing house coming in, and continuing with calls to make appointments.
Debby
Sorry this is late. The time got away from me.
1. I am thankful for a husband who always supports me.
2. I find favor with those I talk to about my business
3. Sorry, yesterday was a wash. I worked all day and was not feeling well in the evening so did not get my phone calls done. I had one new customer sign up with a membership (with out me knowing it) by calling it in. This was a nice surprise, but she did not have enough PV to count for Team UP. Sorry all.
4. Today I will be contacting some of the people I met at the health fair.
With Blessings,

I am thankful for the promise "you reap what you sow"!
I am reaping a bountiful harvest because I am "not weary in well-doing"!
I had 3 calls Saturday about "what supplements would be best for...and what would you recommend". Of course, I did let them know where the best came from!

We are thankful for the great 4 day vacation we had with our good friends in Cape May, N.J.
People love to talk with us because they recognize our integrity and genuine concern.
We are learning that relationships usually precede business, but if business should happen to come first do not neglect developing relationships.
This morning we sold a large order of Germicidal to a preschool. We also made an appointment to loan an air source to a country club. Will be following up with another country club today. Working on fall newsletter.
Jennifer
Happy Monday!
1. I'm very thankful for the rain.
2. I am very excited about sharing my business.

Mike and Becky
Hello Everyone from Cape May, N.J.
We are having a great time and the weather is great. Yesterday while sitting on the beach Mike talked with a day care center and they ordered 8 bottles of Basic G. So we can do this business anywhere!
We are thankful that we can take a break and still enjoy business growth!
Karen
Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for being given the ability to help people.
I am making a difference in lots of peoples lives for a better world.
Yesterday was another great day! Helped Ramon activate his membership and understand his web site. Also spoke about the Gold! Booked home show with Cam for Oct. 6th evening. YESSS! 2 down 2 to go for booking my weekends in October. Plan on booking the other 2 at home show tomorrow. Trish switched hers from the 20th to the 27th. I will be joining the ladies on our street on the evening of the 5th. Networking will be a part of that. Booked appt. with Soloman and family for next Thursday evening when he gets back in town to sign up for the Gold before the end of the month! He wants weight health and sister wants skin care to start. Mother had cleaning business so thinking GREEN as well! Followed up with Brenda, Debra, Luis,(who said he can't afford Gold until next month so I WILL get that in Oct.) Trish and Victoria. Bought and made a beautiful set up for my pens for home shows. Have them in a clear glass vase with "GREEN" marbles wrapped with flowers! Looks like gorgeous arrangement and I don't loose my pens! It's a WIN-WIN situation! Quite the presentation. Wal Mart has the best price for everything to make them and it's EASY.
Today, will make sure everything is set for tomorrow's home show. Calling people with any time I have available in between family life. TEAM VISION POWER!!!!!

In the final morning preparations I failed to get my Saturday daily email out. Getting 2 boys ready and the car loaded seemed to take more focus than I thought.
I am thankful for opportunities.
I am proud to be the messenger carrying such wonderful news that brings wholesomeness to all who will receive!
The Minerelles presentation went well. Everyone was pleased with the Enfuselle and Minerelles line. I also had the Cinch, Get Clean, Vitalizer and Energizing Soy on display with little odds and ends (toothpaste, deodarant, etc...). It seems that it was only a seed-planting day. I had many questions asked and folks taking all sorts of brochures, but no one purchased a thing. Rosa is a member and did let everyone she invited know that she is hoping to become a distributor soon. I will definitely be following up with the information I gathered from the group!

Today I had a friend call me early and she wanted to go for a walk and talk. She is a great Christian friend and we encourage each other. Yesterday my internet was out for most of the morning.
1. I'm very thankful for good Christian friends.
2. I am great following up with my clients.
3. I have to put a poster together for the flee market. Get my wow kit ready for tomorrow. And call Soledad about her membership sign up. And help Linda get hers started too.
Karen Sept. 21
Good Morning Team,
I am grateful for answered prayers.
I am a good listener with a sincere desire to help all.
Yesterday I contacted Helen, Ramon, Terri, Judy, and Debra. Met with Abduhl. After a very receptive B.O. meeting, he will be looking over everything. He said he is definately getting a dist. pack, trying hard to have finances for GOLD. He will be out of town this weekend.
Today I will contact other families about the business as well. Will prepare for Sunday's home show. Following up for appt. with Soloman's family for G.A. TEAM VISION POWER!!!

1. I am thankful for a Father who hears me.
2. I bring good things to those I meet
3. I had a very positive experience at the health fair yesterday. I engaged 25+ people and talked to them about the business and all took literature and I received 9 leads (Those who said I could contact them). The weather was perfect, I had a perfect spot; all in all a very good day!
4. Tonight I will try and contact two people.

Team Up Activities September 20, 2007
Stephanie
I'm thankful for my little baby girl, Virginia, who patiently suffered through my incredibly busy day today. Despite missing a feeding - I will have to work hard to “catch up” on the milk tomorrow – she was always quick with a smile.
I am a Master Coordinator earning over $200,000 a year.
3. What I’ve done? On Wednesday I had my first “practice” Opportunity presentation with a friend who is in the R&D business. She asked a lot of great questions that most people wouldn’t ask, but I felt good & I was happy with how I handled it – unusually relaxed. She was impressed with Shaklee’s quality control & some great seeds were planted for her to be a customer, but she is going to take some more work.
I was very busy today (Thursday) at our homeschool co-op. This is a great networking group and many of these ladies would be natural leaders – they just haven’t been discovered yet. I have an opportunity event scheduled for October 13 and I have already begun inviting the ladies and getting some responses. Tonight was my group conference call and we taught them how to strategize their monthly pv & activity to meet their goals. It was great! They are motivated and already seeing the fruit of their activity.
4. What I’ll be doing today? The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments. I find myself getting caught up in training mode and not very focused on my personal activity so my focus today is on my events in NJ. Also, I need to call through my members list and begin the process of finding more “converts” to the Gold Ambassador program. I have an appointment in the evening to do a “practice” Opportunity presentation. This is an old friend who will analyze it to death, but I am looking forward to it anyway. It is a great thing to do with those “hard sell” friends. I get the practice I need and they hear information that I probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to tell them without the “can I practice on you” clause.
Mike and Becky
. We are thankful to celebrate the life of Mike O'Brien today! Happy Birthday!
2. We continue to attract people of character and influence who desire to make a difference in MANY others' lives all over the world, using the business as a vehicle.
3. Yesterday was great! Becky made several follow-up calls and is excited about a cashier she met at a clothing store on Tues. She is a licensed dietician and has heard great things about the company. Mike followed up on our clubhouse leads with promising results! Becky also spoke with some of you and other Sales Leaders who are out there making it happen! And then, last night, we attended a dinner with supporters of our son, Paul's trip to Africa. One of the team members and also one of his BAE co-workers walked up to me and said they wanted some products! One is pregnant and the other has allergies. Paul had shared what we do with them. So, I have two more customer appointments to schedule.
4. Today, we are leaving for our trip to Cape May. But, already, Mike went to an early morning networking meeting and sponsored a new member! We have five now, so just need to find our Gold Ambassador! I am a firm believer in staying in the game to the very end - many are won in the last few seconds of the game! Keep Going!
5. A big thing we have learned in Team Up is the value of a team to motivate us to work even harder. We would not ask you to do anything we are not already doing ourselves. We pushed ourselves to do the office talks, go to networking meetings, do the booth, call people, put together a huge Fall newsletter mailing, working hard and longer hours when we didn't feel like it sometimes, but it does produce results. We have talked to hundreds of people to get the few who make a difference. Those few are worth gold. Their lives will forever be changed because we persevered to talk to one more person, one more person, one more person. We know you are doing the same and it feels good.
REMEMBER TO CALL YOUR BUDDY BEFORE OUR CALL ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

I am thankful for my senses. I may not always enjoy what I hear, see, taste, smell or touch; but at least they are functioning an I thankful!
I succeed because I believe in what I'm doing and care about those I have opportunity to share what I believe. People see this and want more.
I continue to prepare for Saturday's Minerelles (a little each day keeps me focused and excited), mail out more profiles, try to make voice to voice contact with follow ups, and continue building!
I talked with voice to voice with one warm market yesterday. I am sharing the business with even telemarketers and the people I talk with to pay bills, etc! Who knows what may come of it!

3. I had a very positive experience at the health fair yesterday. I engaged 25+ people and talked to them about Shaklee and all took literature and I received 9 leads (Those who said I could contact them). The weather was perfect, I had a perfect spot; all in all a very good day!

4. Tonight I will try and contact two people.
1. I am thankful for my friends.
2. I am a great prospector for my business.
3. I listened to the team up again and I am going to have my husband listen too.
Calling Crystal to get some products for my booth on Sat at the flee market. I hope it doesn't rain.

Team Up Activities September 19, 2007
Hello Team Vision,
We enjoyed a great call with you this evening! You continually inspire and amaze us with your creativity, perseverance in the face of stress, and encouragement for one another! What a great team!
Thank you, Debby, for the wonderfully inspiring elephant team story! I will never forget that vivid image that speaks volumes. And if elephants can be that caring and energized to help each other, think of what we can do!
Congratulations to Karen for sponsoring four new members in two weeks - that's great!
Notes to Remember:
1. Continue with your daily blog entries. You are doing great! Every business owner should evaluate their business day and plan for the next one, in order to stay focused and productive.
2. Include in tomorrow's blog entry, one new thing you have discovered about yourself during this Team Up activity.
3. Call your Buddy. We are keeping the same Buddies this week. Get to know each other and share ideas, encouragement, and praise!
4. Remember to sponsor members and keep looking for your Gold Ambassador. They're out there; we just need to keep looking. Five of us, myself included, still need to find ours.
5. The next Team Up call with corporate is Monday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 PM in all time zones. Last night's Team Up call is now archived at 1-512-703-6147. Definitely worth listening to more than once. We all agreed that we got a LOT out of this call! Become an expert at Inviting and Handling Objections.
6. Our next Team Vision call will be on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Please note that the time is changed for this date only. It will be at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. 1-605-990-0001, then 438695#.7. Traci - thank you for preparing to share an inspiring team story with Team Vision on our next call.
8. Please know that you can feel free to get in touch with us. (703) 367-7109
Okay, as Karen says, TEAM VISION POWER!! Let's make it happen. Becky & Mike

I am thankful for perspectives. I can choose to see things in a certain way: positive or negative.
I am passionate about this business and people hear this and want to join me!
I will continue to make contacts and work on Minerelles presentation.
I have learned that I need to work on asking the right questions by listening to what people are really saying. I have learned that I absolutely LOVE doing what I'm doing and I need to let the other business opportunities go and focus on this one thing!
Debby
1. I am thankful for the opportunity to meet new people
2. I will meet people who have been looking for a company like ours
3. One thing I have learned about myself (actually I already knew this) is that I dread accountability groups. It’s the fear of failure and being judged that I need to get past.
4. I will be participating in a health fair in DC and will hopefully be able to contact the person who e-mailed me last night about becoming a member.
Stephanie
I'm thankful for my husband, who was stuck in the NY subway for 2 hours, let me vent my frustrations (not with him, but with life), because he would not be home until after midnight (again) and then let me know that we may have a new partner in our business – an old business friend who is looking for an MLM.
I am a mentor of great business leaders who are changing the world around them. I attract motivated & effective business leaders that are ready to grow and make things happen!
3. What I’ve done? Yesterday was not one of my best days, but I am happy to say that Keith did way better than I did. He had lunch with an old business friend who is a very gifted and determined business woman. She is unhappy with her income and Keith mentioned what he and I are doing with our business and she was very interested. We hope she will be at the Excite event.
4. What I’ll be doing today? Redo of the plan for yesterday. The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments. My goal is to reach people today about Bob’s event next Monday & to call co-op people about my events in NJ. I am calling 20 people and I expect to reach 5 – 8 who will say yes to an event. I am also sending out a reminder flyer to those who didn’t come to Bob’s last meeting & a flyer to my co-op friends about the upcoming event in October.
Jennifer
Two people are pending to sign up as members. I will call them again and make sure they understood my directions on how.
1. I'm grateful for the sun.
2. I am a great business manager.
3. Call 3 people
Karen
Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for TEAM support.
I am very excited to have signed up my first Gold Ambassador this week! " affirmation :-}"
Yesterday was super exciting for me to finally get the B.O. appt. with Abduhl. I feel great about this one!
Will continue with follow ups from referrals to book 1on1 appts. Getting everything in order for tomorrow's appt. and home show on Sunday!
I discovered that being on a team helps me to "recharge" with weekly contact! TEAM VISION POWER!!!
Here is a copy of the poem I received from my (Karen)son's school about parents and teachers working together. I substituted teacher and parent with Leader and Business Builder! I automatically felt the connection with TEAM WORK!
TWO SCULPTORS
I dreamed I saw a studio
And watched two sculptors there.
The clay they used was a human mind
And they fashioned it with care.
One was a Leader - the tools used
Were books, music, and art.
The other, a Business Builder, worked with a guiding hand,
And a gentle loving heart.
Day after day, the Leader toiled with a touch
That was careful, deft, and sure,
While the Business Builder labored by his side
And polished and smoothed it o'er.
And when at last, their task was done,
They were proud of what they had wrought.
For the things they had molded into the human
Could neither be sold nor bought.
And each agreed they would have failed
If either had worked alone.
For behind the Business Builder stood the school
And behind the Leader, the home.

Mike and Becky
We are thankful for a company that allows us the freedom to grow our own business, yet supports us 100%. We are reminded that we are in business for ourselves but not by ourselves.
We relate to others in a natural way that allows them to feel at ease and be transparent about their needs.
Yesterday was busy, talking to a Title Company (10 people came) in the morning and doing a trade show in the evening. We spent about 20 minutes talking to the family owner of Kenwood Country Club! Lots of people to follow up with today.
See you tonight on the team up call 7:30 PM. 1-605-990-0001, then 438695#

Here is the update on the weekend:
We had our first morning training session and it went well. We went over the opp. Presentation and the member appointment. Bob had an appointment that day so it was great to have a specific person to prepare for. In the end Bob used some of my recommendations, but put in his own ideas. To me, that is the best. I love it when they take ownership of what they present to their group. His new member bought the Vitalizer & Nutriferon, so he earned a point for getting a member with 50+pv order.
I made 20 phone calls, mostly to my co-op group, and I received several yes’s to getting an invite to our events and a few not sures, but I could send the invite anyway. I also left a ton of voice messages, but I kept those more general.
I'm thankful for Mike & Becky who have supported me & provided the catalyst I have needed to build my business.
2. I confidently talk about the business, my company and what Keith and I can offer. Those that I talk to are attracted to what I have and want to learn more.
3. What I’ve done? I made many phone calls and received several encouraging responses. I felt good on the phone and I was happy with my approach.
4. What I’ll be doing today? The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments. My goal is to reach people today about Bob’s event next Monday & to call co-op people about my events in NJ. Nothing fabulous to report: Mailed out info; actually got one person on the phone; did more research; preparing for Saturday's Minerelles; and took care of a fussy teething baby.
I am thankful that in all the chaos that sometimes happen that there is an "eye in the storm"
Center of the Storm
There’s a very special calmness in the center of God’s will.
Though all hell is raging ‘round you in the center it is still.
All outside may be collapsing; every turn is hurling harm.
But there’s peace passed understanding in the eye of every storm.
To arrive within in the center is no accidental fate.
Nor a placement by another-it’s a choice that you must make.
Relinquish misconceptions that in your strength you can win;
For your limited resources cannot calm the storm within.
You must trust the Lord to guide you; learn to follow His commands.
Let go of vague resources. Hold to His unfailing hand.
Search His Word to find direction; take its truth to be your own-
Then you’ll find a peace unmeasured in the center of the storm.

Out on a Limb
Hello Business Family,
OUT ON A LIMB
As a 10 year old, scooting out on the limb of the massive oak tree in our neighborhood was terrifying. However, in order to secure the rope in the proper place we had to tie it far enough away from the trunk. As I looked down and saw my friends urging me on, I knew I must continue because the promise of swinging freely through the air outweighed the risk of falling. That old rope served us well through those idyllic childhood days.
The rules today are much same except the stakes are higher. We must take some risks in order to enjoy the rewards and fulfill our destiny. Risk must be taken everyday, as Douglas MacArthur said “empty your days of the search for security; fill them instead with a passion for service.” As you reach out to others today in your business, perhaps the words of this anonymous poem will speak to you:
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feeling is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
Be it our business or our personal relationships, risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. Jesus, the ultimate “risk taker” said this: “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life loses it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.” I would say He was rewarded well for His “risk.”
See you out on the limb,
Mike

Sorry we were out of the loop yesterday. We had 20-30 in for a 3 day Bible seminar here at the house. In the midst of that we did sign up one new member who was attending the class and have another good prospect.
We are thankful to have just received a good paycheck so that we were able to give a large sum of money to our ministerial friends.
We love our business and many, many more will be joining our ranks in the months to come as more and more people seek alternatives to the traditional 9-5 jobs.
We will be preparing for our trade show with the country clubs on Monday evening and presentation to a mortgage company on Monday morning.
Debby
1. I am thankful for seeds planted long ago that begin to bloom
2. I keep walking surely and steadfastly
3. The last two days I mailed fliers and prepared for the upcoming health fair. I sent two invitations to the training event on October 6th. I also prepared an extensive e-mail for a customer who wants her church to use our cleaners.
4. Today I will send two e-mails to new prospects who I’ve been in touch with already, but have not gotten a commitment to an appointment. I will continue to prepare for the health fair.

I am so thankful that the lunatic buck that tried to crash into our livingroom did not harm any of us. And, the glass that shattered in, though it lay everywhere did not injure any of us or even land on us (God's protection). The buck even came back 3 hours later! More later!
I feel blessed and privileged, because I am helping someone take charge of their well-being!
I will continue to work on sponsoring by calling, mailing, emails, follow-ups.

1. I'm grateful I can be home with my kids.
2. I am great at follow through.
3. I need to collect things I need for my booth next Sat.
4. I talked to Crystal about the Higgins flee market and if she wanted to help me with that. She just got the pack of Get Clean and I have some so that way I don't have to order a new one. I talked to my sister Chole in Mexico and she wants to sign up as a member to order her Cinch stuff. I told her I'm coming down in the next few months to do a home show. She said that is great because she can't find anyone in El Paso that sells the products

I am thankful that I'm not just building a business; I am also building friendships!
I am borrowing one of King David's affirmations: "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!" Ps 27:13 In other words: I am victorious, because I believe!
I will continue to mail out more profiles to warm market, as well as get four appointments by the end of day!
Karen
Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for my health.
I will continue to be my best and help others improve their lives.
Yesterday I spoke to Soloman to follow up about the gold program and to get feedback on the 4 DVD's I left with their family. He said he and his sister are interested in the inch loss program. I showed him the action brochure again and reminded him about the package containing those items in the gold package! He wasn't sure of the family schedule for appt. I will call.Listened to archived call on nutrition. Talked to neighbor Carol about me having a home show next month for the neighbors to come to, date to follow. Probably 10-20-07 since my show that day rescheduled for 10-27-07! Followed up with 3 other people about their new product use. Printed literature for next weeks home show until printer ran out of ink. Will keep plugging along. TEAM VISION POWER!!!

I'm thankful for homeschooling, which enables me to get to know & be more a part of the lives of my children. I am so thankful to see their character & the amazing talents that are slowly blooming before my eyes.
2. I plan & I DO the plan. I am consistent to make calls. I am consistent in my follow-up. I attract those who are READY to be well.
3. What I’ve done? A conference call that no one showed up for and networking at our homeschooling co-op that went well, but it’s so busy while we’re there, I now need to get on the phone to invite them to my events. I did set up two “practice” appointments. One with my friend, Lynn, who I’ve known for several years – an amazing woman with several degrees & at 40+ is more physically fit than most 20 year olds. The other, with our friend, Brent, who was our best man, and is a sure bet to ask all the questions I hate to hear and analyze the opportunity to death. I chose both these people to help me develop an amazing presentation that is concise & professional. They both know it’s for practice and though I don’t expect them to sign-up, I do expect them to be impressed with the company, be interested in the products and be willing to refer someone who is looking for income.
4. What I’ll be doing today? The plan is still the same; invite & set appointments. My goal is to reach 5 people today about Bob’s event next Monday & to do a marathon calling blitz tomorrow talking to co-op people and local people.
Mike and Becky
Congratulations to everyone for being faithful to do their entries. Reminder to go to www.bobsfiles.net, then to the Affirmations link for ideas on writing affirmations.
1. I am thankful for vision - the ability to never lose sight of the bigger picture.
2. Mike and I are jumping up and down with joy that we have signed on our first Gold Ambassador. (This is an affirmation, as it has not happened yet, but it will!)
3. Today, Becky is following up with Cecilia, Mildred, and Agustina, the new people she met yesterday at the office presentation. She is also working on the Fall newsletter mailing to 500 people. We are also spending time with a minister we are hosting in our home for three days.
4. Yesterday, in addition to the office presentation, Becky scheduled a wellness consult, re-scheduled another office presentation for 15 new people, sponsored a new member with over 50 PV (a point for Team Vision!) - met her at a party two weeks ago, hosted over 20 people here for Bible class last night. (Time management affirmations work! Fit Shaklee in every day - very important; that one phone call you make could be the one that makes all the difference; it did when the person who got you into Shaklee called you!)
5. We just got a call from a day care center who want to order Basic G. They found us on the Shaklee web site. Word is getting out!
Debby
1. I am thankful for new ideas!
2. My customers like hearing from me as they know I care about them.
3. I made three phone calls and actually talked to each one! I did not get commitments from them other than I can call back at a later time, but they did not say “no”!
4. Today I am making contacts regarding cleaning products, sending requested information to current customers and contacting two customers about the business event next month. I will also continue to prepare for the health fare I am attending next week.
Jennifer
. I am greatful for my loving parents.
2. I am a great organizer.
3. I am going to work on setting up a both at a local flee market.
4. Talk to my friend in Mexico about coming in the next couple of months to do a home show. She said her and her mother could put one together for me.

1. I am thankful for Fall in Virginia
2. I meet new customers every day and they are excited about what the products can do for them.
3. Yesterday I got my mailings done and made one (connected) phone call. I spent some time re-thinking my Fundraiser and how I am going to get Get Clean to Vet Clinics and Animal day care facilities. I ordered some small spray bottles to give out samples of Basic H2.
4. Tonight I will make a few more phone calls and continue mailing Fundraiser Fliers.
Mike and Becky
We are thankful today for living in the land of AND i.e.,being able to work in an industry that does so much good for others and good for us.
I project sincerity and compassion to all that I meet which draws people and inspires trust.
Yesterday I spoke to a man at the gym who runs marathons and is interested in the products and possibly in the business opportunity.
Today Becky had an appointment at a business and talked to 6 people about the products. She is also working on preparations for another presentation tommorow to about 15 people.
Today Mike scheduled an appointment for Monday with one of his networking members and scheduled a phone consult with another. Mike also talked with Lockheed Martin about cleaning products and will be sending them information.
Jennifer
1. I am very grateful for my kids.
2. I am a great at prospecting.
3. Talk to at least 3 people.
4. Talk with my cousin Stephen in Nashville, and my friends in Mexico about me going down there to do a in home presentation in Oct.
Karen
Good Morning!
I am grateful for the ability to offer help to people with their health and wealth needs.
I will continue to be productive with the opportunity.
Yesterday I spoke to 8 people. Talked to another gentleman to meet this weekend, he couldn't narrow down a time. Asked me to call him to make time for 1 on 1. I also ordered a large sign for my green clean display and shows.
Today I will continue to contact at least 5 people to fill my available time for 1 on 1's. Need to spend time on computer to print business literature. Take advantage of this beautiful weather and go out and meet people!!!! TEAM VISION POWER!

Yesterday I mailed out info about the Minerelles presentation on the 22nd and several Health History Profiles to my warm market. I also met a new contact in Dollar General, her name is Rhonda, and will be calling her for a product presentation. I got one appointment for next week, but spent most of the day helping my Mom and Dad get their clothes washed and get them settled in their new room. Mom has been too sick to do anything and they needed the help to organize.
I have 2 appointments today: 1 product and 1 business opp. I am mailing out more Profiles and emailing the Vializer quiz out to my email list. (Already this day has been so hectic and I am not even dressed yet and I need some breakfast!!!) I will get 2 more appointments to fill out next week.
I am thankful of the promise of you reap what you sow!
I am desperately in need of an affirmation today, but cannot seem to get it together! Forgive me!
Stephanie
1. I'm thankful for God’s Word which reminds me WHO my strength comes from and encourages and affirms me every day.
2. I am patient & persisting. I make the calls & invites & I leave the results in God’s hands.
3. We have our personal team conference call tonight. I may be able to make a few calls while on the road, but we have homeschool co-op today so it will be a networking day; getting to know the helpers in my classes, identifying needs and planting a lot of “seeds”. It feels like the momentum is slowly (I should say REALLY SLOWLY), moving forward. I am excitedly expecting greater and greater momentum as Keith and I stay consistent in our activity.
4. My personal activity has seriously slowed. School and kids are a constant priority, but I am learning to delegate and to just say no. I have been able to set appointments with a few people. Charlene and her husband – who wasn’t able to come on Monday night – is set to meet with Keith and I next week to discuss the opportunity. I have also received an encouraging response from one of Maryann’s people who plans to be at our Oct. 22nd meeting and wants me to set her up on Cinch. Since this is a friend I very much want to help, I am thrilled that she asked me.

I am thankful for new beginnings and opportunities!
Because I am making calls, I am getting appointments. I am growing and it is exhilarating!
I will continue to make calls and emails until I get 3 more appointments!
Tuesday I got 3 appointments: Helen and Erin this Thursday and Ilsa on Monday. Back 2 months ago I spoke with an acquaintance at my bank about supplements. When she called today to verify some information, I asked her when would be a good time to call and set up a time when we could discuss supplements further. I am calling her Thursday evening! I mailed out 11 postcards about a makeup presentation I am doing on Sept 22 (I already had mailed out that many last Friday). The post office has blank pre-stamped postcards for the price of a postcard stamp. I print up the information I need to mail and pop them in the mail box! So cost effective and versatile!
Stephanie
1. One thing I am grateful for is endurance. The affirmations are working!! I have set a plan & I am sticking to it & I have energy till late in the evening. I think the B-complex is helping too.
2. I am an inspiring leader. I keep it simple & I communicate concisely and with a clear vision.
3. Our first Opportunity Meeting on Monday went well. It was great to see the team work together & we had great results considering only one person showed up. It made for a great practice meeting. I have been contacting & setting appointments, but due to the craziness of my schedule, I don’t think I’m calling at a good time. I am planning on doing a phone marathon on Saturday to try to reach 20 people.
4. Today I am following up on my e-mail and phone messages. I am contacting 10 more people and I am setting 3 appointments.
Mike and Becky
We are thankful for the free market system in which we live and the potential to do business all over the world.
"Optimal Wellness" is an expanding enterprise which will soon reach global proportions.
Today I will see my Chiropractor and introduce her to Vitalizer.
We will work on our newsletter and listen to Vitalizer call tonight.
Start making list of people to invite to Oct. 7 Business Opportunity meeting here at our house.
Work on display board for September 17 exhibition
Debby
1. I am thankful that I can do well by doing good
2. I look for people to help
3. I made three phone calls last night, but no one answered, so I put them back on my “to call” list.
4. I will be mailing my fundraiser flier today as well as a thank you card to my retail customer. I will also spend some time preparing for a health fare I have next week as well as re-organize my efforts to take the cleaners to vet clinics and pet day care facilities.
Karen
Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for the bravery of talking to people about the business.
I will get my Gold Ambassador signed up this week!
Yesterday I stayed busy from sun up to moon up.The excitement just keeps flowing. Spoke to several people, left messages with a couple of people. Also booked and did an appt. with a member and her daughter to help with her childs needs. They are both up to date with their nutritonal needs. I actually gave them my display pack to get started with nutritional help and will get the package from them when their order arrives. I felt she needed to get started TODAY! It also made me feel good to be able to help right away. Also booked 1 on 1 appt for this weekend with another family.
Today I will continue with follow up with my new members. Also will book new Gold Ambassador appt. for this week!!!! TEAM VISION POWER!!!!!

Prospecting for Gold Ambassadors (Kathi Minsky and Jane Pederson)
Prospecting for Gold Ambassadors
They will want to know:
· What will I be doing
· How can you help me
· How can I make money immediately
· Current Customers/builders – Since you already use the products, perhaps you would like to enlist in Gold Ambassador Program. You get a referral fee for everyone you sign up. Go through your list of current customers/builders.
· Some people may not need to experience the products but may be interested in the business
· Some people "don’t know what they don’t know" and are unaware that you can make money from a home business. Plant the seed.
· We not only have a residual income component but now we have an opportunity to make “up front” money through the Gold Ambassador Program.
· Allow people to "get in the game" don't' prejudge them especially now that the economy is struggling a bit.

I missed about 5-8 minutes of our call last night. As Mom I am the large cog that keeps all the other cogs moving! Thank heavens for the mute button!
I am so excited about the point system! I had printed that off this morning from an email someone sent to me and was going to begin incorporating it to challenge myself beginning tomorrow! How cool to be able to use this motivational tool and be rewarded for it!
I am thankful for the challenges that help press me forward.
I am delighted to speak to several people and to have helped them! I feel the freedom of learning and sharing!
I will make calls today until I have at least 3 appointments scheduled.
Becky and Mike
We are thankful for such a great company that is continually on the cutting edge of product development and technological resources to make our job as distributors easier and more productive.
We are on the verge of breakthrough in many areas of our business and personal life.
Although I only reached two people out of several that I called, the calls were "promising" with new people and I will continue to follow up with them. I answered several emails from customers and scheduled two New Member orientations that way. I enjoyed connecting with our team by phone last night.
Today, I am going to BNI, then meeting with a new customer, Lori, right afterwards, following up by phone with Alma, Norma, Jody, Kim, Angela. I will update my list of names of new people to contact. I will print address labels for Fall newsletter to mail this week.
I (Mike) will be writing a short letter to go in our mailing and I will continue to work on I Track mailing labels. I will be trying to get in touch with a Physician who believes in supplementation.
Jennifer
1. I am grateful to be part of the team up program, I can learn and be encouraged by others in our team.

1. I am thankful for a fresh perspective
2. I take good care of and am thankful for my current customers
3. I had one appointment with a new customer who ordered, but did not become a member, but she will. I also had a new member appointment which was good.
4. I will make three calls tonight

Good Morning Team!
I am grateful for the business opportunity.
I will work hard to fill each day with my business.
I enjoyed #2 Team Up call yesterday. Will try to benefit from the inspirations from Kathi Minsky and her team family. Also excited to grow with our Team Vision! Will busy my day with calls to Ramon, Soloman, Debra, Judy, Melanie (for 1 on 1)

I am thankful for the support of this team and my mentors!
I am doing what I love to do. I bring opportunities for physical and financial success to others as well as myself!
I am making at least 5 warm market calls today: Peggy, Erin, Felissa, Shari and Catherine.
I shared with one person about weight management today.
Becky and Mike
I am grateful for a career with flexible hours, positive people to work with, and limitless potential for growth.
2. I confidently manage my time between customer service, Business Builders in training, and recruiting new people.
3. I was thrilled that we had 20 customers and 3 Sales Leaders at the Customer Appreciation event on Saturday! It felt good to catch up with correspondence to customers yesterday.
4. Today, I will: Follow up with five customers by phone (three are new), follow up with two new people who attended the Sat. event to schedule Business Opportunity appointments, confirm the schedules of two in-home gatherings for Business Builders, prepare for Team Up tonight, and prepare for my BNI Educational Moment on Tues. morning and a new customer appointment right after the BNI meeting.
Stephanie
One thing I am grateful for is my wonderful team. They are all persistently optimistic people who I enjoy spending time with and who inspire me daily.
2. I am an inspiring leader. I keep it simple & I communicate concisely and with a clear vision.
3. This weekend has been fun. I was able to get my office unburied from the piles of school & business piles, I had a great meeting on Friday strategizing our Monday meeting and I reached a lot of people via e-mail and phone call. There were many “can’t attend” responses, but what made my day was talking with a friend who needs $1000 a month yesterday, her words were “I am desperate to keep my home”. She is planning to attend. That one “yes” was worth all the “nos”.
4. Today I am following up on my e-mail and phone messages. I am contacting 10 more people and I am setting 3 appointments.
Karen

Inspirational Message September 9, 2007
THOSE WHO ENCOURAGE OTHERS WILL BE ENCOURAGED
The year was 1791 and a dying minister named John Wesley picked up his pen and began to write:
London, February 26, 1791
Dear Sir:
Unless the divine power has raised you up… I see not how you can go through your glorious enterprise, in opposing the execrable villainy, which is the scandal of religion, of England, and of human nature. Unless God has raised you up for this very thing, you will be worn out by the opposition of men and devils. But “if God be for you, who can be against you?” Are all of them stronger that God? O “be not weary in well dong!” Go on, in the name of God and in the power of His might, till even American slavery (the vilest that ever saw the sun) shall vanish away before it…
That He who has guided you from your youth up, may continue to strengthen you in this and all things, is the prayer of,
Your affectionate servant,
J. Wesley
Four days later, Wesley was dead at age 88, yet his influence in the life of William Wilberforce lived on. For decades after this, he fought for the abolishment of slavery and when he felt like quitting he looked to Wesley’s letter for encouragement. Finally, in 1807, the slave trade was abolished.
We can all be encouragers, the words you speak or write to someone who is hurting, the visit you make to a grieving friend, the phone call to a person without friends or family in a new area. In your business relationships become known as a positive encourager, a nurturer who enhances the lives of others. It costs us nothing to impart faith and in fact adds value to our life. When we encourage others we find that we to are encouraged (courage within).
Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you.”

Yesterday's Activity
Phil-Mont has agreed to evaluate the business for a fundraiser that they do for their athletics programs. Her wording seemed to imply that they would use the products every year, but maybe that was my big vision thinking talking to me. PLEASE PRAY, she is presenting it to the board this weekend. There is a lot to do if they say yes, so I am working out a well-thought-out plan in anticipation for their approval. I am already really tight with the dean of students who is also the wrestling coach who also uses the after exercise shake and recommends it for his team – Arel (my oldest) is a top wrestler on the team and many of the boys have followed his example.
I had a great conference call last night. It was just Keith and I with Jenni & her newest Ambassador, but I’m glad that we had that time to get to know Chrystal – she is amazing; very focused and with big goals and the time commitment to follow it up.
Today's Activity
I’m grateful for my amazing sister, Jenni. She has been with me since the beginning & she is very fun to dream BIG with. Now she has a great new partner that also dreams BIG.

Summary of Yesterday: Talked to Terri about the home show Saturday. She was really down about her rsvp count. Maybe 2 people. I kept her positive and gave her advice about reminder call Friday to invited guests, asked her to give me the list to contact for 1 on 1's who can't come. Confirmed my appt with Judy Shaw on Sunday @ 10 to go over Nashville News. Booked another Spanish family for Sunday at 3:00 and talked to another Mexican family to meet up with next week! Talked to Sue for about an hour about the business excitement!!! I will keep plugging along!
Today: I will be up and out by 4:30 a.m. tomorrow to meet everyone to go to the Zig Ziglar seminar. I will not be home until probably after 7:00 p.m. My goal for tomorrow is personal growth I will be thinking of ways to apply that to my business. I will be talking to people I meet about the business.
Stephanie
Summary of Yesterday: What I was shooting for was a lot more than what I got done, but since I am on a major time crunch every day, I veered from my list (getting nowhere) to call Keith’s sister and ask if she would host an Opportunity Event (I am going to be great at these). She said yes, so that means I now have SEVEN Opportunity Events from Sept 10 to Oct 20th. So now I really need to get on the phone & e-mail to invite, invite & invite some more.
I also received three responses from my missionary connections. My Uncle Curtis is in Singapore & Hong Kong and is willing to dialogue about possible business opportunities in China. My friend Julie also said that she would like to hear about the “new news”. The Hofers (Malaysia & maybe Arabia) had the most promising response. We spent a couple of hours last Friday presenting the opportunity & answering questions. His response was “I need to get the web site going and also I will order some more products so I can talk to people about them more”.
Today: I’m grateful for my amazing husband who is commuting long hours & even days away from his family so that we can provide for our kids and so I can be with the kids. I am also grateful for my children who have cooked meals, babysat, washed dishes and ran errands so I can build our business. We are all looking forward to when dad can be working from home!!
I am a time management pro!
I am making a list – with phone numbers. (work in progress)
I am going through our homeschool co-op directory and calling each one to invite them to Sandy’s Opp Mtg on Sept 22. – this will take me 2 weeks to get through. (Goal today – reach 10 people)
i. I now have another Opp Meeting to invite them to at my sis-in-laws on October 13th
I am setting 5 appointments – opportunity or nutrition.
I am going through a list of about 40 people to invite them to Bob’s Opp Mtg – this will take all week to get through the list. (Goal today – reach 10 people) (work in progress)
i. I reached zero people, but left lovely messages. ii. I role played the invite call with Bob.
Debby
I am thankful for the awesome people the Lord has put into my life.
2. I am caring compassionate and trustworthy.
3. As I have to work an 8 hour shift today I will make two contacts for appointments this evening.

Summary of Yesterday: Did strategy session with Debby, met with customer here, had lunch with another customer and introduced Vitalizer to her, talked with customer who is going to be a Distributor and she is coming to the Customer Appreciation event this Saturday, helped Sandi with her Team Up call.

Becky and Mike
Summary of Yesterday: Did strategy session with Debby, met with customer here, had lunch with another customer and introduced Vitalizer to her, talked with customer who is going to be a Distributor and she is coming to the Customer Appreciation event this Saturday, helped Sandi with her Team Up call.
Today: Go to appointment at the National Harbor about our condo there and set a goal to talk with one person there about the Business Opportunity, bring Blackberry with me to make more calls to invite people to event this Saturday.
We are thankful to be part of such a great team (we were encouraged by last nights call)and all you are doing to grow your business.
We are in the right place at the right time talking to the right people.
Jennifer

HOW QUANTUM PHYSICS CAN AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS
Now that I have your attention with that mysterious title I had better quickly explain this lofty assertion. We have talked before about the power of affirmations and positive thinking in our business, but have you ever wondered why and how it works? The answer lies in the mysterious world of “Quantum Physics.” One of Dr. Shaklee’s most profound statements was, “What you think, you look, what think, you do, what you think you are.” He understood long ago that our thoughts and words actually affect the invisible world and create something out of nothing.
Does the thought of quantum physics send a chill down your spine, just like the words calculus, differential equations, and -gasp- organic chemistry? You may not even think that quantum physics is a serious science, like the more familiar Newtonian physics. Just relax! I'm sure you're comfortable with regular physics, which describes the way that matter interacts with other matter, i.e. when you drop your vitamin chest, it will interact with the floor and the vitamins will scatter all over the place! Quantum physics is just the physics of the incredibly small. The reason that quantum physics needs complex math to explain the behaviors and properties of small particles is that the world of these subatomic particles is a very bizarre one, filled with quantum probabilities and organized chaos. For example, the exact position and velocity of an electron is very hard to find because attempts to "see" it involve bouncing other particles off of it. By doing this, you've just changed the electron's velocity, so your data is useless. Another thing is very important, when dealing with quantum physics you must forget about all logical physical laws, because the laws in the subatomic world are not subject to the macro universal laws.
OK Mike, now that you have completely lost me, how can the principles of quantum physics or quantum theory affect my business? One of the most exciting discoveries of quantum physics is the realization that our thoughts and words can alter the vibrations of the subatomic world, thus affecting the reality in which we live. In quantum physics studies, it has been discovered that the thoughts and expectations of the experimenter actually impacted the experiment's outcome! For instance, if the experimenter thought the particle would spin a certain way, it would! Scientists witnessed that a person's thoughts were actually causing the reaction of matter--at the quantum physics level.
The implications of this and other quantum physics studies has lead quantum scientists to understand that we have a direct effect on the world around us--our thoughts and words cause vibrations in the sub atomic world which affects the physical world in which we live. In fact, they are discovering what Jesus already knew, that the power of our thoughts and words literally enables us to create reality--our own reality. “Whoever says to this mountain, be removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he says.”
Does that mean that we can just sit around and send out “good vibrations” and expect to reach Master Coordinator? I am sure Linda Causey will tell you it takes both hard work and positive behavior to be successful. So, as we go about our business let’s think and speak prosperity, success, and health, to everyone, especially ourselves.

YOU CAN’T DO IT ALONE
We all need a little help along the way, “show me a self made man and I’ll show you a man who is probably selfish.” The first century writer Peter understood this concept all to well. He was a fisherman, a fiercely independent man given to strident statements and impulsive action. One day while fishing, he met Jesus of Nazareth and his life was dramatically changed. As a member of Jesus’ inner circle he listened as the “Fisher of Men” spoke of service and compassion for our fellow man. He slowly came to understand that he needed help to become who he was meant to be. Later in his life, he wrote that we should all maintain unity of heart, caring for one another and courteous. Don’t misunderstand, we all must take responsibility for our own lives and celebrate our successes, but no one is an island.
In our business, encouragement, teamwork, and sharing is part of the fabric and culture that makes this such a unique company. “Team Up” is a great concept because it brings the energy and encouragement of the group to each individual person. Even if you are not formally participating in “Team Up” it is still a good idea to partner with someone else who can encourage you and someone who you can encourage. Try to establish relationships where you are being mentored and whereby you can mentor someone. As you participate in these teams and relationships, you will be amazed how similar our obstacles are and how we can learn to overcome them by sharing with one another.
A.W. Tozer said “God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible-what a pity that we plan only the things we can do by ourselves.”
